“Others walk the bow, I walk the string” (Grand Master Moy Yat, 1982)

Wing Chun Kung Fu, also known as Ving Tsun, is a fast road to self-defense and a healthy lifestyle.

This Kung Fu style is a simple and direct system well known for its economy and
efficiency of movement.

Using the centerline theory, we learn that “the shortest distance between two points is a straight line” (Archimedes), and like Grand Master, Moy Yat, expressed in his teachings: “Others walk the bow, I walk the string”, the latter illustrating a straight line and direct approach to self-defense and all aspects of life.

Wing Chun is not a sport, not for tournament fighting, nor competitions.

It is rather a valuable form of self-defense, way of life and method for self-improvement.

We teach in a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie, and represent the values of respect, discipline, and community awareness.

Lately, the style has begun to gain a great deal of popularity through the Yip Man “Ip Man” movies in China.

Yip Man was Bruce Lee’s teacher, and Wing Chun was the first form of Kung Fu which Bruce Lee learned.

Our lineage of Kung Fu is a direct line from Yip Man to Moy Yat, then from Moy Yat to Sifu Rex Aperauch and Sifu Robert, who is my Sifu.

I met Sifu Robert back in 1987, became his indoor student and we’ve been training together ever since.

My teaching days go to back to 1989 with a small group of students in Miami, and later in 1997 I opened my first Wing Chun school in Colombia.

Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of instructing and training with many dedicated and skillful Kung Fu enthusiasts from many walks of life and now, “the legend continues”.
